20th November: What a quiet month it has been for winners for Caduceus Club members but John Dorrington changed all that enjoying success with twenty one race winner Smokey Quartz who snared the C5 or better class Book Your Christmas Function Pace over 1609 metres at Menangle (NSW). Trained on the track by partners Kerryanne Turner and Robbie Morris, Smokey Quartz a 8Y0 home bred gelded son of Courage Under Fire and Raheen starting solo on the second line enjoyed a sweet passage trailing polemarker Future Stride all through the race. Eased away from the inside by Robbie on straightening, Smokey Quartz put the race beyond doubt in a couple of bounds , recording a 8.9 metre margin in advance of Lombo Idle Belief from mid-field and Jackaroo Bromac who was a neck away in third place. The mile rate a sizzling 1-52.3.

22nd November: Peter Judd tasted success at his home track Shepparton following the victory of 5Y0 Rock N Roll Heaven - Hectic mare She Envy in the JDC Contractors Vicbred Pace for C1 class over 1790 metres. Trained by David Aiken and driven by Kima Frenning, She Envy racing under the banner of Benstud Standardbreds enjoyed a sweet trip from gate two trailing the leader American Zest drawn outside her. Not bothering to wait for the sprint lane to come into play, She Envy eased off American Zest’s back on turning and raced clear to record an easy 7.2 metre margin in 1-56.6. Prince Potter was third a neck away following a mid-field passage.

22nd November: Stan Nedwell and Bruce Morgan’s exciting Shadow Play - Lucky Bonus 4Y0 gelding Bonus Play resumed at Shepparton with a brilliant victory in the 2190 metre Your Sold Real Estate Pace for C2 & C3 class. With regular reinsman John Caldow in the sulky, Bonus Play first up since August settled four back in the moving line from gate six as the odds-on favourite Higherthananeagle (gate 4) was forced to park outside the pacemaker Maestro Bellini. Eased wide in the back straight on the final occasion, Bonus Play sprinted like a gazelle to join Higherthananeagle which had raced past the leader prior to the home turn, before careering away on straightening to score by a five metre margin from Kissmelvis (one/two) in a rate of 1-56.5. Allmightyjoelouis ran home late from the rear for third 4 metres back.

24th November: Smokey Quartz won again at Menangle for the same combination, leading throughout from gate two in the 1609 metre TAB.COM.AU Pace, accounting for Our Triple Play which raced outside him by 4.6 metres in a slashing 1-51.7. Southern GNP (one/three – three wide home turn) was a half head away third

24th November: Duncan McPherson’s Kiwi bred Majestic Son - Solar Powered 4Y0 entire Aldebaran Willo broke his maiden status at start number four when successful in the Fastway Couriers Trotters Mobile for TR0 class over 2100 metres at Geelong. Driven by Gavin Lang for trainer Amanda Turnbull, Aldebaran Willo racing under the banner of Aldebaran Lodge Pty Ltd and partners spent most of the race exposed outside polemarker Fling About from gate five. Applying plenty of pressure in the back straight on the final occasion, Aldebaran Willo after a faultless exhibition was much too strong over the concluding stages for Fling About, scoring by 2.8 metres in a mile rate of 2-05. The Debater was third 8.8 metres away after trailing the pacemaker.

24th November: Bob Willis’ honest 4Y0 Shadow Play - Our Waltzing Mathilda mare Miss Victoria chalked up her third victory in 35 outings when greeting the judge in the Paatsch Automotive Colac Pace for C0 class over 2100 metres at Geelong. Trained and driven by Lance Justice, Miss Victoria was trapped wide from gate five, progressing forward to eventually cross Saviour Clare (gate 3) prior to the bell. Always in control from there on, Miss Victoria coasted to the wire 5.6 metres in advance of Saviour Clare, with Jang Pel running home late from three back in the moving lane a half neck away in third place. The mile rate 2-01.9.

29th November: Peter Svanosio’s latest addition Valley Ess Jay returned a dividend at his first outing for him when victorious in the VSTA Claiming Trotters Mobile at Maryborough. Trained and driven by son Chris, Valley Ess Jay, a 7Y0 gelded son of Skyvalley - Steffi Jay led throughout from gate two, accounting for Imahe Man which trailed before moving outside him approaching the home turn by a neck. Noopy Enforcer which raced exposed in the last lap from the tail of the field was third 31.8 metres away. The mile rate 2-04.1.
