Team Teal Campaign

The Team Teal campaign was created by DuncanMcPherson OAM who lost his wife Lyn to ovariancancer in 2010. In failing health, Lyn began fundraising for cancer research, an initiative that Duncan connected with his devotion to harness racing, co-founding Team Teal with fellow owners and trainers,Michael Taranto and Jim Connolly.

The campaign expanded from Victoria to New South Wales in 2016, to all Australian states in 2017 and internationally to New Zealand in 2018. Across six weeks in February WomenCan team up with the harness racing industry to bring to you Team Teal, an International harness racing campaign for ovarian cancer.

All reins women race in teal pants to raise awareness and much needed funds for ovarian cancer research by securing first place across the finish line.

Funds raised will support ANZGOG's research nurses caring for women in newly established clinical trial sites and the Survivors Teaching Students program to provide greater understanding of the disease to medical students.
