Brian Hancock

2000 Inductee

 Known as “Mr Inter Dominion”, the former coal miner Brian Hancock trained the winners of six Inter Dominion titles (driving five of those) and 25 heat wins.  Koala King in 1980 was his first followed by Thorate (1990), Weona Warrior (1994) and then triple winner Our Sir Vancelot (1997-98-99) 

 

 Great mare Teeny Rena was his first top liner with Jikk Adios and Bundanoon also great earners.  When Hancock retired from driving at age 55 he had recorded 2,069 winners with 1,114 of them being in metropolitan races in every capital city in Australia as well as Auckland in NZ

In 2001 he represented Australia at the World Drivers Championships in Sweden, also drove in Ireland, and at the Meadowlands in New York
