Mick Lombardo

 Mick Lombardo arguably  Australia’s largest and most successful breeder played a significant role in the development of the Australian harness racing industry across five decades as a breeder, owner and administrator.

 

 Chairman of Harness Racing Australia from 2002-2004 , he served on the WATA comittee for 12 years and was President from 1989-91. Being made a Life Member of the WATA in 1991, he was awarded an Order Of Australia medal in 2011 for “service to Australian harness racing”.

 

 The “Lombo” prefix has been attached to some of the best youngsters to ever grace the Australian scene with the likes of  Lombo Pocket Watch, Tailamade Lombo (both million dollar plus winners), Lombo La Fe Fe, Lombo Adreamin, Lombo Rapida, Concorde Lombo and Misty Maiden, Australian Derby winner and dam of Lombo Pocket Watch.
